Datanla Waterfall questions

How much does Datanla Waterfall cost?

The entrance ticket is 80,000 VND for adults and 50,000 VND for children, and covers the walk down to Waterfall 1. The coasters and adventure activities are sold separately: see the price table.

Should I walk or take the coaster down to the falls?

The path is about 1 km with 200 steps through the pines, and climbing back is the hard part. Alpine Coaster 1 does the same trip in a couple of minutes, one way or return; it needs the entrance ticket too.

Can you swim at Datanla Waterfall?

No. The pools under the falls hide deep holes, and people have drowned after slipping in. Stay on the paths and viewing spots, and go into the water only on a guided canyoning trip.

Is Datanla good for children?

Yes. Children under 100 cm get in free, the coasters take riders from 90 cm with an adult, and Wonder Webs, a net playground for children, costs 150,000 VND. The zipline starts at 120 cm, the ropes course and canyoning at 140 cm.

When is the best time to visit?

In the dry season, roughly November to April. From May to October Da Lat gets frequent showers: the coasters stop whenever it rains and the paths by the falls get slippery.

Which activities should I book ahead?

Canyoning: trips leave in the morning, and booked online it costs less than at the operator and includes a hotel pick-up. The other activities can be bought at the gate on the day; online tickets cancel free up to 24 hours ahead.
